1. Being there

practice

You sit down, quietly and do nothing else than just sitting...
You will sense what your body is doing, even if you don’t do anything at all...
Note what you experience, follow what you body is showing you...
Relax your body from top to bottom by wishing peace to all its parts, all muscles...
Note what you experience...
You’re in excellent condition to hear and meditate a spiritual text...
When you return to your normal attitude, try to keep the sensation of being present to your body

Perception by a participant:

“... a miraculous rest, which is yet not contemplative: I’m just sitting here, and feel comfortable. I notice the change when the conductor comes by: I see him, receive him, observe him, let him go. A quit, flowing and direct contact with another who enters into my life. The practice of being there opens me for my environment and for other people.”
