4. Going

Exercise

You walk attentively, not needing to arrive somewhere, for you are already where you should be.

You walk relaxed and upright, calm and self-consciously, your face is relaxed, your head upright on your body. You follow your footsteps....

Follow each step that you make attentively, feel how your heel touches the floor and how your foot rolls over it.

You stand moving on the floor, the sole bends, you lift your toes, make the next step... keep going... next...
You open yourself to the environment, feel the space around you, hear the sounds, feel the floor under your feet.
You stay walking slowly, calm and relaxed... sometimes standing still... then continuing your way.

An experience of being on the road in daily life:

“Tuesday I walked to the station in stead of taking the bike. On the way there I walked very fast, but felt in spite of that tranquility in the upper half of my body and I was relaxed in the train. On my way back home I noticed during the walking that I fled the busy centre. When I walked under the viaduct rest came over me, and a feeling of coming home in my neighborhood. A feeling of safety and I feel myself growing.”
